About Teachya

Teachya helps teachers and students find high-quality, free English language learning resources more easily.

The aim of the site is to make useful English language resources easier to find. Content is selected and organised by level and language area, so whether you are looking for beginner materials, advanced practice, pronunciation support or grammar help, Teachya helps point you in the right direction.

Teachya is a partner website of Lewis School of English, a British Council accredited school in Southampton, UK, and provides self-study support to adult learners at the school.

Finding free English language resources should be simple. Teachya is designed to make that process easier.

How Teachya selects resources

Teachya aims to offer a balance of useful information and engaging practice. As well as language reference and guidance, the site may include links to exercises, quizzes, games, audio, video and other learning materials.

Resources are selected for their value in supporting language learning, information, advice and enjoyment. The aim is not to list everything, but to choose resources that are genuinely useful.

Teachya selects language learning resources for their relevance, methodological value, user-friendliness, accuracy, engagement and visual appeal, while also considering their suitability for an international and multicultural audience.

Feedback and improvement

Teachya is always developing, and feedback is welcome. If you have suggestions, ideas or useful recommendations, please get in touch.

Suggestions from teachers and learners help improve the quality, usefulness and reliability of the site.
